TExES Business Education 6-12 Exam

The TExES 176 Business Education 6-12 exam is a comprehensive and detailed assessment for men and women who want to teach business in the state of Texas. The subjects covered on the exam are in line with the curriculum outlined in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. The exam content can be broken down into five domains: accounting, finance, and economics (17% of the exam); business management (17%); ethics, law, business communication, and international business (22%); technology and information systems (27%); and leadership and career development (17%). The accounting, finance, and economics domain covers the following topics: accounting, personal finance, recordkeeping, economics, banking, and financial systems. The business management domain of the TExES 176 Business Education 6-12 exam, meanwhile, covers these topics: accounting, personal finance, recordkeeping, economics, banking, and financial systems; business management, operations, and ownership; business law and ethics; international business; and e-commerce. The ethics, law, business communication, and international business domain covers the following topics: accounting, personal finance, recordkeeping, economics, banking, and financial systems; business management, operations, and ownership; business law and ethics; international business; e-commerce; and business communications and interpersonal, employment, and organizational skills in business environments. The TExES 176 Business Education 6-12 exam was developed by the Texas Education Agency and the Educational Testing Service.
